Your office standards become a shared clause library, with variants for each kind of project and AI routines that check every Division 01 before you issue it.

Division 01 usually starts from the last projectโs. You reopen the file, change the address, the work hours, the schedule, and hope nothing slipped. The errors donโt show in review: they show on site, when a contractor uses Division 01 to push back.
With Word
Start from the last projectโs
Find the right version
Proofread every page before issuing
Miss a mismatched address
With There
Type / and pick the right variant
A routine reviews the whole document
Fixes you approve
Division 01 โ General Requirements covers administration, coordination, submittals, temporary facilities, quality and closeout for one project. The design team writes it into the Project Manual, often with a specification writer, and it binds every contractor through the contract documents.

Summary of work
Scope, constraints, neighbors, project team and distribution.

Project management
OAC meetings, meeting reports, scheduling, liquidated damages.

Temporary facilities
Site trailers, logistics plan by phase, access, deliveries, laydown, hoisting.

Work restrictions
Work hours, noise, neighbors, sites next to a school or occupied buildings.

Submittals
Shop drawings, product data, review times, RFIs.

Schedule and closeout
Phasing, milestones, punch list, closeout documents.

Library
Your approved clauses, organized like your Division 01 and shared with the team. Each snippet has variants, each with a โwhen to useโ note: standard hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., extended hours, or a sensitive site with 7 daysโ notice.
Writing
Type / in the document. There suggests the snippet, then its variants, with a preview in place. The site borders a school? Pick Sensitive site: the table and callouts follow.

Adapting
The modified snippet turns orange. Changing the notice period from 7 to 10 days? Your call: update the variant, create a new one, restore the original, or detach.
Review
A quality check you save once. Run it in one click from AIโ there, written in your own words as the architect, with your Division 01 template as the reference. Every discrepancy gets a comment with the expected fix. Custom routines come with the Business plan.

Fixing
AI suggests, you decide. AIโ there fixes the document from the comments. Every change is highlighted: Accept, Reject or Accept All.
New project
Your next Division 01 starts from your snippets. Use template creates a document thatโs current with the library, and the project information sheet steers the right variants. Snippets to check are outlined in orange.

48 apartments in a five-story building over 52 below-grade parking stalls, two retail spaces, a 22-month build next to a school. Two errors slipped into Division 01. The routine flagged three discrepancies.

Critical ยท Address
Site access says 14 Hillside Avenue, the header says 12. Expected fix: one address.

Major ยท Work hours
Site supervision says 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Work hours says 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fix: one time window.

Major ยท School next door
The site borders a school, but Division 01 sets no limits on work hours. Fix: spell out the restrictions.
Spec platforms bring reference content and AI review. There brings your own office standards and your own checks, from bid to closeout.

Word and office masters
Familiar and flexible. Consistency depends on your templates and on whoever proofreads before issue.

Specpoint, SpecLink
MasterSpec or SpecLink content, office masters, and AI that flags omissions and inconsistencies. Built for the Project Manual, up to bid.

There
Your approved clauses and variants, checked by routines your team writes in its own words. The same workspace then carries OAC minutes and field reports through construction.
Can we bring in our current Division 01 or office master from Word?
Yes. Send it to us: we break it into snippets and variants, ready in your library.
Who can edit the library?
You choose who sees each library: Only me, Everyone in the organization, or a Team space.
We already use Specpoint or SpecLink. Do we need to switch?
No. Keep them for your master specifications. Teams use There for the parts they rewrite on every project, such as Division 01, and for the documents that follow on site: OAC minutes and field reports. There exports to PDF, not to Word.
Does AI change the document without me?
No. In Manual mode, every change waits for your approval: Accept, Reject or Accept All.
Do snippets work in meeting reports too?
Yes. The same library feeds Division 01 and the general requirements in your meeting reports.
Which plan do I need?
Shared libraries come with the Team plan, custom routines with the Business plan. The 14-day trial runs on Team, so custom routines aren't included. Details on the pricing page.
